"Strive to Survive II"
Golf Tournament
Gearing Up!
Last years Golf Outing went off without a hitch.
Unfortunately nobody won the Hole in One Contest so better luck next year. To my knowledge everyone had a good time for a good cause. The day was great, the course was in great shape, the steaks where a topic of discussion as everyone seemed to be happy with the food that our own Firemen made (not catered), a lot of prises where given away, so all in all it was a pretty good day!
"STRIVE TO SURVIVE II" is already in the works and it looks like it will be held at the Carmichaels Golf Course on August 29, 2009!
This outing would has never been possible if it wasn't for the great sponsors we had and a list of them can be located on our STRIVE TO SURVIVE tab on the left side of the page along with pictures from this years event. Please support these sponsors as they where generous enough to us all to insure we had a good time for a worthy cause. So until next year thanks for your support!

VANDALS STRIKE PUTTING ALL AREA RESIDENTS AT RISK!
Recently vandals destroyed $15,292.80 of emergency radio equipment at the Fire Departments radio site in Vestaburg. I guess for Grins and Giggles vandals destroyed emergency radio equipment as they busted the security fence, beat the deadbolt lock off the door, entered the building and smashed all the radio equipment that was put into place to ensure that the firemen would be alerted when they where dispatched on a emergency call in East Beth or Deemston Borough. This equipment could possibly have saved the life or lives of the same people who destroyed it, their Mom or Dad or a loved one if the situation arises. The malicious act has put all area residents and the firemen at risk do to having poor to no radio coverage at all. Until new equipment is purchased either through insurance or funding aquired from somewhere and put into operation some of the things area residents can expect is possibly delayed response times to possibly no response at all because of this very stupid act. The equipment that was destroyed was originally purchased with a grant from State Representative Bill DeWeese and from the taxpayers of East Beth Township and Deemston Borough through the Departments Fund Drive. If caught I would venture to say whomever did this could be possibly facing some time in the big house. The East Beth Township VFC is requesting anyone that may have any information or have heard anything on this matter to contact the Centerville Borough Police Department as they are heading up the investigation.
